Another one got caught today, it’s all over the papers. “Teenager
Arrested in Computer Crime Scandal”, “Hacker Arrested after Bank Tampering”…
Damn kids. They’re all alike.
My best work
I’m in the mood for an uplifting post. Being moody takes a lot of energy, so today I’m going to post some of the stuff I used to make in photoshop – just my favourites.
Update: 29 December 2011 – I’ve removed a few images.

BIOS Logo Mod
I didn’t do it!! I didn’t kill the motherboard! =D
Forgive the quality. I couldn’t find the HD camcorder so used my phone.
The red lines are key combinations to get into BIOS, boot options and awardflash.
The blue lines are my system spec – motherboard, processor and ram. Now I know how to mod the logo, I might change it around a bit.
Atheros AR928X / NE-771 stuck in G mode – A Fix
A few posts back, I mentioned that Net4Switch had stuck my Atheros AR928X aka AzureWave NE-771 into G mode at 54mbps, rather than its native N mode at 300mbps.
I finally found a solution to getting it back up to 300, so I’d share it seeing as I found no conclusive solution that works elsewhere.
Here’s how to set the ar928x to 300mbps.
Chelsea
I got bored today so decided to learn the basics of retouching photos. After a quick look around SXC, I finally found one worth using.
Kudos to trublueboy for the source image.
I used Photoshop CS4 Extended.
[UPDATE: 29 Dec 2011 - this one is from an old blog, so the watermarks on the photos reflect that]
Vista / Win 7 Desktop Icon Size
I’ve been looking all around control panel for the advanced appearance settings they had in XP, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Eventually, I found a forum post that made me realise how ridiculously easy it is.
Right click the desktop > View > Small Icons
>_<
Then I found a way to customise the size even more, thanks to Keith Dsouza over at Techie Buzz.
Click the Ctrl key while you are viewing the desktop and scroll your wheel upwards or downwards.
In my defence, I’ve been using a trackerball mouse for the last 8 months and only just plugged in an optical with a scroll wheel today.
F.E.A.R 2 Install Guide [With Screenshots]
Hey,
Steam activated the activation for F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin so I decided to make an install guide.
